A very warm welcome to The Shrubbery Guest House.

We are a family-run bed and breakfast near to the heart of Worcester. We are members of
Visit Britain and maintain high standards of quality, value and cleanliness. It is our aim to provide excellent value accommodation without compromising quality.

Free WiFi in all rooms, a good full English breakfast and a homely environment make The Shrubbery suitable for both the business and leisure traveller.  Only half a mile from Foregate Street Station in the City Centre, this is well situated for visits to Worcester.

Worcester is an historic city in the Midlands.  It is the birthplace of Sir Edward
Elgar and hosts the Three Choirs Festival.  It also holds a popular annual Victorian Christmas Fayre.

The city is rich in history: Worcester Cathedral dates back to Norman times and The Commandery is the country's only Civil War Museum. The High Street boasts a Queen Anne Guildhall, and just behind it the Countess of Huntingdon Hall offers an excellent entertainment venue with Worcester Live.  The Swan Theatre is also nearby staging plays and lively pantomimes.

Worcester Warriors Rugby Club play from the nearby Sixways Stadium, and Worcestershire County Cricket Club are only a mile away at the New Road ground.  The River Severn also offers rowing and river cruises.

The city is currently benefiting from the expansion of the University of Worcester and its new facilities at The Hive.  Other sports and leisure facilities on offer include Perdiswell Leisure Centre and Golf Course, and Sansome Walk Swimming Pool.

Locally Gheluvelt Park has recently enjoyed a major refurbishment, with new play facilities and a Splashpad, as well as the peaceful parklands.  This now extends along the riverside and neighbours Worcester Racecourse at Pichcroft.

Excellent transport links also make Worcester an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, whether it be the ancient Malvern Hills, Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon, the rolling Cotswold Hills, or nearby Cheltenham with its annual Festival.
